Director of Engineering & Utilities
Tyau earned bachelor's and master's of mechanical engineering degrees from Brigham Young University-Provo and worked in Hawaii's general contracting industry before joining the HRI management team. He helped oversee construction of the Laie wastewater treatment plant, oversees Laie Water Company — HRI's potable water system — and handles engineering and other technical issues for the land management company. Tyau is also active in youth sports programs.
