Feinga, a retired Assistant Director of the Physical Plant at BYU-Hawaii, came to Laie from Tonga as a labor missionary in March 1960 to help build the university campus and the Polynesian Cultural Center. Feinga also worked on many large construction projects during the Waikiki building boom but continued to live in Laie. Ever since, Feinga has served the community in civic and cultural leadership positions.
